This second boxed set moves the series along nicely and we learn more about Jessica's mysterious husband and also more about Jessica.
Book 7 gives this new boxed set a good action start and we get to meet an old friend. Book 8 deals with Jessica's sister Gabby, but by the end of the book we learn more about Jessica and discover that she can more than hold her own. Book 9 is without doubt my favorite Taken story ever, as hit men are sent to kill Jessica and we learn a lot more about her and her husband's past. A great read this one. Book 10 is the shortest and doesn't really have much action, but we learn who Jessica's husband might be related to and there's also an appearance by Jake Caliber of The Caliber Detective Agency books and also an appearance by a minor character from book 5. Book 11 starts out quiet and then becomes a roller coaster ride, we also learn that the FBI has their eyes on the Whites. I absolutely loved the ending of this one. Book 12 shows what the FBI has in store for the Whites and we also meet a new character who I hope becomes a part of the series. Needless to say, I can't wait for more of these books. They are Brill!

Loved the first six stories and these were just as good. With all the evil and injustice in the world, these stories make you feel good. It's nice to feel like the good guys prevail, at least once in a while.
This is my second in the series, luv 'em. The characters are fun and vicious.....great stories. Sometimes you hope that there are real people out there doing what only Remington can imagine. This is a series I will certainly read till Mr. Kane doesn't write any more.
Got the first book free and it stayed on the list for a long time before I read it. Started out a little weird at first. Thought it was another serial rapist/murder story. Then it took off and I was hooked. The second book every bit as addictive an I am getting ready to order the next.
I did rather enjoy it, and so I have purchased the next set. I think the premise is terribly implausible, but sometimes reading fiction is about suspending what one believes is possible simply for a guilty pleasure.

I had read complaints of "excessive typos" but, again, did not come across many. None to report this time.

The story is good and "He" and his wife are very likeable. "He" reminds me of Showtimes DEXTER only "He" is a bit more personable, and elegant than Dexter. "He" manages to relate to people, and it is satisfying everytime he surprises himself with his social skills.

I am definitely TAKEN by this series!

I started with the free box set 1-6 of Taken. I figured if I didn't like them, no foul, no money spent. Boy, when I got through that set, I've no purchased everything through Book 43. I can't wait for the next edition to come out. Without too much spoilers, it is a story about a husband and wife who help people. The bad guys and girls are the mass killers and con artists of the criminal world. They help capture or otherwise neutralize these baddies. Each book basically is another case although some are a continuing case. Each set only has between 120 and 240 pages if memory serves me right. All action almost from the git go.That's my only complaint. I wish they were a little longer.
